New Student Orientation
We are excited that you have chosen the University of Northern Iowa for the next step in your journey and can't wait to welcome you to the Panther Family! Orientation registration for students starting Spring 2026 will open October 1! Orientation registration for students starting Summer or Fall 2026 will open in February.
You must accept your offer of admission to be able to sign up for orientation.
During your orientation, you will:
- meet with an academic advisor
- register for classes
- spend time with your orientation leader
- gain access to information about essential campus resources
We’re looking forward to providing you a customized orientation experience along with learning more about your goals and interests.

Panther Welcome is a program that helps new students make meaningful connections with other new students, current students, staff and faculty, take care of important business, become acquainted with campus and Cedar Falls, discover University of Northern Iowa traditions, attend fun social events and find out what it means to be a UNI Panther!
